YMCA ISLAND DAY CAMP

YMCA Camp

Day camp on Children's Island Marblehead has been around since before I went there as a kid in the early 60's and our daughter in the 90's.  And is still going on today during the summer.  The camp boat, the "Hanna Glover", leaves each morning and returns each afternoon to the wharf just down the street from the house by the Landing Restaurant.  Call the YMCA at 781-631-9622 for details.

FISHING

At Sigler Guide Service, located in beautiful Marblehead, MA, we offer a range of services and products for both local and visiting flyfishers (or just plain ocean enthusiasts). Guided Striped Bass fishing trips are our forte, but our services include flyfishing lessons, cod fishing and bluefin tuna charters, kids fishing camps and birthday parties, lobstering tours, and scenic tours.

My boat, a 24' Everglades is Marblehead's answer to the Florida flats boat. It is light and nimble enough to get right into the rocks, yet seaworthy enough to handle the 3-4' chop we sometimes fish in, and fast enough to get us offshore in a hurry.

Come enjoy one of the most talked about fisheries in the country – the famed striped bass waters of Boston's North Shore . In addition to the outstanding fishery, the scenery is spectacular, and there is a wealth of non-fishing activities, including antiquing, beaches, historic tours and restaurants. See what some of our clients have said about their experience in our testimonials.

So whether you are looking for a day or a week of guided fishing, lessons for a spouse, current conditions, a great deal on a rod or reel, cool tee shirts, or just some information on hot flies, we can help you!!

By the way, if you have young children (ages 5-16) you simply have to check out our kids programs. Whether for summer camp, a birthday party, or just a special time with mom or dad, something very special happens when you take a kid fishing.

Sincerely,
Randy Sigler

AUDIO WALKING TOUR

Can be picked up at The Landing Restaurant just down the street for a deposit.

The audio tour focuses on Marblehead’s history and its many rare and architecturally significant houses. It is a loop with 40 stops that begins at the Chamber of Commerce office and Abbot Hall, with an optional route down Orne Street to Old Burial Hill. Along the way, the recording discusses over 100 important sites and architecturally significant houses. Though the full circuit is about two hours long, the route can be walked in various stages as the listener desires.

“A Historic and Architectural Walking Tour of Marblehead” has been created for the benefit of residents and tourists alike. It was developed through the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and takes the form of an Internet “podcast,” which, as of July 1, could be downloaded free of charge onto personal audio players such as iPods or MP3 players, through the Chamber’s VisitMarblehead.com Web site. http://www.wickedlocal.com/marblehead/homepage/x16289854
